We collect almost nothing

WattCost has no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms. You can use every page on this site without telling us who you are. This policy covers the two ways data does reach us: anonymous usage analytics, and email you choose to send.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful — page views, rough geography, device type, and how visitors move between pages. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device identifiers and IP-derived location on Google's infrastructure under Google's privacy policy. We see aggregated reports, not profiles of individual people, and we don't join analytics data with anything else.

You can block this entirely with a content blocker, by disabling cookies, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works identically either way.

Email you send us

If you write to support@wattcost.app, we receive your address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to fix whatever you reported. We don't add you to any mailing list — we don't have one.

Hosting logs

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and operations. These are retained briefly and not used for tracking.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or share personal data with anyone.
  • We don't run advertising networks or affiliate tracking.
  • We don't build profiles of visitors or retarget you elsewhere.
  • The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. In practice the only personal data we could hold is email you sent us — write to support@wattcost.app and we'll handle the request.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if clearly-labeled sponsored placements are ever added — this page will be updated first, with a new date at the top.
